PREVAIL ING WAGE LAW: This Contract calls forthe construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevail ing Wage Act, 820 ILCS130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcon trac tors to pay laborers, work ersandmechan ics perform ing services on public worksprojects no less than the current "prevail ing rate ofwages" (hourly cash wages plus amount for fringebene fits) in the county where the work is performed. The Depart ment revises the prevail ing wage rates andthe contrac tor/subcon trac tor has an oblig a tion tocheck the Depart ment's web site for revi sions toprevail ing wage rates. For infor ma tion regard ingcurrent prevail ing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Depart ment of Labor's website. All contrac torsand sub-contrac tors render ing services under thiscontract must comply with all require ments of theAct, includ ing but not limited to, all wage, notice andrecord keep ing duties. A Perfor mance and Payment Bond in the full amountof the contract will be required. A Bid Secu rity of 10%of the Bid is required with the proposal. The Contractor must pay the Prevail ing Wage Rates for all workper Illi nois Law. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids,to waive irreg u lar i ties in the bidding proce dure, oraccept the Bid that in its opin ion will serve its bestinter est. Any such deci sion shall be consid ered final.The Owner reserves the right to set aside a Bid from aContrac tor who, in the Owner's opin ion, does notexhibit past expe ri ence equal to the size and scope ofthis project
