This contract provides for an overlay of Keene Road from Bombing Range Road to the city limits, approximately 450 feet east of Kennedy Road, and Kennedy Road from Sirron Avenue to Fire Mountain Road. Work will include planing pavement, asphalt pavement overlay, asphalt pavement restoration, construction and replacement of ADA ramps, plastic and painted pavement markings, landscape restoration, shoulder restoration, roadway widening, and other work as specified. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in surety bond, cash, certified check, or cashier's check, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid proposal. The successful bidder must enter into a contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond. Only properly executed proposals submitted on the forms furnished will be accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities, and accept any bid deemed to be responsive in the City's best interest, and reserves the right to readvertise for new proposals. Small, Minority- and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids. Disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
