Question Deadline 02/13/2026 All Bidders shall submit such written requests to City not less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the Bid Deadline. Contractor shall furnish labor, materials, equipment, services, and specialized skills to perform work involved in the Project. The Work in the Bid is defined in the Project Drawings and Specifications and will generally include the following: furnish, remove and install traffic striping, pavement markers, and pavement markings (legends) over existing traffic striping as outlined in the plan, attached to this Request for Bids as Attachments A and B. The work shall be done in accordance with the project plans and specifications, Contract No. 20250209; "Greenbook" Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (2024 Edition), State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Standard Plans (2023 Edition) and the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Standard Specifications (2025 Edition). In the event of any conflicts, refer to the Procedure of Contract Documents contained in General Conditions, Section 1.10. Bids must be made on the Proposal Form contained in the bidding documents. Each Bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check or a satisfactory corporate surety Bid Bond for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total maximum amount of the Bid. Bids shall remain open and valid for ninety (90) calendar days after the Bid Deadline. The successful Bidder must possess a current and active California contractor's license of the classification required for the Work at the time of the Bid Deadline and during performance of the Work, including full completion of all corrective work during the Correction Period. Bidders must list and properly qualify all Subcontractors in accordance with Public Contract Code Section 4104. This Project is a public work and is subject to payment of prevailing wages and compliance with the Department of Industrial Relations requirements. Each Bid must establish that the Bidder has satisfactorily completed at least three prevailing wage public contracts in California, each comparable in scope and scale, within three years prior to the Bid Deadline and with a dollar value in excess of the Bid submitted for this Project. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to award all or any individual part/item of the bid, and to waive any informalities, irregularities or technical defects in such bids.
