Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Vernon, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The City of Vernon is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to conduct a system-wide soil corrosivity assessment along its existing water distribution pipelines. The consultant will measure and collect continuous soil resistivity data along each pipeline using Electromagnetic (Emag) testing. At highly corrosive areas, approximately 50 soil samples are to be collected to validate soil corrosivity with a high level of confidence. The consultant will prepare a report interpreting the data and recommending next actions such as condition assessment, excavation/testing, close interval survey, or continued operation.
