Site work and paving for a road / highway in Mexico Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project involves approximately 8 miles of roadway construction, resurfacing, and striping at locations throughout Gulf County. The work must be completed within 180 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on time are set at $1,685.00 per day. All bidders must be FDOT Prequalified per Section 2-1 of the FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, latest edition, in the following work classes: Grading, Drainage, Flexible Paving, and Hot Plant Mix-Bituminous Course. Bidders must submit their company name, sealed bid, and bid number on the envelope, and include the original bid plus two copies. Bids must remain firm for sixty days after opening and comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing, registration, and regulation of contractors in Florida. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes regarding public entity crimes. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive informalities, accept or reject any or all bids, and accept the bid deemed in the best interest of Gulf County.
