The work generally consists of the following approximate quantities: 7,700 CY Excavation Common, 13,000 TONS Base Aggregate Dense, 4,100 TONS HMA Pavement, 7,630 LF Concrete Curb and Gutter, 24,380 SF Concrete Sidewalk, 2,650 SY Concrete Driveway, 22 EACH Lighting Unit, 14,200 SY Restoration, 3,130 LF Storm Sewer Main, 3,070 LF Storm Sewer Lateral, 12 EA Adjust Sanitary Sewer Manhole Cover, 21 EA Adjust Water Valve Box, 44 EA Replace Water Service Curb Box. Bids will be received on a unit price basis. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond as bid security, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the Village of Jackson as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within fifteen (15) days of the award of Contract. Should any bid be rejected, such bid security will be forthwith returned to the bidder, and should any bid be accepted, such bid bond will be returned upon the timely and proper execution and securing of the Contract. In case the successful bidder shall fail to execute the Contract and Performance Bond, the amount of the bid bond or check shall be forfeited to the Village of Jackson as liquidated damages. Contractor is required to submit the Bidder's Prequalification Statement to the Engineer a minimum of 3 business days prior to the bid opening.
