Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Portage, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are requested, in triplicate, for the Portage West Middle School Generator Project, BP 2, for Portage Public Schools. Proposals must be received at the designated location by the specified deadline; late bids will not be considered or accepted. All proposals will be publicly opened and read at the indicated time and place. Bids delivered by mail must arrive by the deadline. Faxed, emailed, or electronically uploaded bids will not be accepted. Each bid must include a sworn and notarized Familial Disclosure Statement. A construction pre-bid meeting is scheduled at the project site and all bidders are encouraged to attend. Bidding documents can be reviewed at specified locations and online. Bidders must be reputable organizations with at least five years of relevant experience, possess proper licensing, and have sufficient financial resources. Each bid must include bid security of at least 5% of the bid amount, provided by a surety with a rating of A- or better or by certified check. The successful bidder must provide Performance, Labor and Material bonds for contracts exceeding $50,000 from a surety company rated A- or better, covering the full amount of the contract.
