Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Portage, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility.
Sealed bids, in triplicate, are requested for the Amberly Elementary Bid Package 2 Early Foundation and Portage Public Schools. Bidders may submit bids to the designated locations by the specified deadline. Bids submitted after the stated time, or submitted via fax, email, or upload, will not be accepted. Each bidder is required to provide a sworn and notarized Familial Disclosure Statement disclosing any familial relationships with the Owner, employees of the Bidder, or members of the District's Board of Education or Superintendent. Bidders are encouraged to attend a virtual pre-bid construction meeting. Bid documents can be examined online at the Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. website or at specified Builders Exchange plan rooms. Bidders must be reputable organizations with at least five years of successful experience on similar projects, possess necessary licenses, and have ample financial resources for the scope of work. Each bid must include bid security or a bid bond not less than 5% of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance, Labor, and Material bonds for contracts exceeding $50,000 from an approved surety company, for the full contract amount.
