Remodeling of a fire / police facility in Redmond, Washington. Completed plans call for the remodel of a fire / police facility; fire / police facility; fire / police facility; and fire / police facility.
The City of Redmond Police Department is seeking information from qualified vendors regarding secure Property & Evidence locker solutions equipped with badge readers. The system must allow property retrieval by specific individuals through assigned credentials. Vendors may also present retrofit solutions for upgrading existing pass-through evidence lockers without smart card readers to meet specified security and access control requirements. The objectives are to identify secure locker systems with badge reader technology, understand access management and auditing for users, evaluate options for both new installations and retrofits, and assess installation, training, and support capabilities. Vendors should address: - Access control methods, including badge reader types, assignment of lockers, and integration with existing systems. - Centralized locker management software, access auditing, and remote monitoring. - Security and durability of lockers, including size and configuration options. - Retrofit options and installation impacts, with cost comparisons between retrofit and new systems. - Technical aspects such as power, networking, integration with IT systems, APIs, and data security. - Detailed installation processes for both new and retrofit solutions, including required preparation, timelines, and operational impacts during deployment. Vendors should provide information about their company and experience, product specifications, installation timelines, training, warranty and maintenance, service level agreements, and pricing. Responses are limited to 20 pages and should include an executive summary, descriptions of how the solution meets requirements, cost-benefit analysis, and any limitations. All submitted material becomes the property of the City and may be subject to public disclosure. Responses must be submitted electronically following specific guidelines and by the published deadline. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
