Renovation of a detention facility in Burbank, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The Work under this contract shall be performed entirely within the City of Burbank, and consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services, and performing all work necessary for the Jail Door Control System Modernization project all in compliance with the Citys Bid Schedule The project will replace and modernize the 24-year-old legacy controls and equipment. The modernization will include the complete integration and installation of all electronics, software, hardware, casework and fixtures required to replace and modernize the existing system. The facility will be open 24/7 throughout the duration of the project. The project requires a General Contractor to manage the scope of the project and to sequence the work. Contractor shall plan all work to minimize disruption to the operation of the detention center. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
