Antietam Valley Municipal Authority is requesting bids for the construction of wastewater treatment plant headworks modifications. The work consists of modifications to the wastewater treatment plant headworks, including demolition, equipment installation, electrical work, and site restoration. All project documents are available at no cost via the PennBid Program. There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference for the project at the AVMA WWTP. Bids will not be accepted from bidders that do not attend this mandatory pre-bid conference. For all requirements regarding bid submittal, bid security, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates must be paid by contractors and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each bidder is required to meet the requirements of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. All steel products used or supplied in the performance of the contract or any subcontracts shall be from steel made in the United States. The Authority reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted and to waive any informality in bids received. No bidder may withdraw its bid for sixty days after the bid due date, unless the contract award is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case bids shall remain open and irrevocable for a period of one hundred twenty days after the bid due date.
