Furnish all labor, equipment and materials necessary to perform the following water treatment plant construction and improvement elements described in the plans (uploaded separately). The scope includes: o The construction on new sand separation system including, but not limited to, sand strainer, sedimentation tank, process piping, valves, electrical, instrumentation, controls, supports, and all other appurtenances necessary to make a complete working system. Except as otherwise noted, the Contractor will provide and pay for: a. Mobilization and demobilization b. Labor, materials and equipment c. Tools, construction equipment and fuel d. Electricity, water and utilities required for construction e. Freight and sales tax f. Testing and laboratory services g. Surveying and field engineering h. Record Information in electronic form (both AutoCAD and PDF) and a hardcopy. Information will be used by the Engineer for record drawing development. i. Compliance with all the conditions of the permits issued for this project j. Construction dewatering (if required) The commencement date shall be established in the Notice to Proceed. Contractor shall commence the Work within 10 Days from the commencement date. The Work shall be Substantially Complete within 365 Calendar Days after the commencement date given in the Notice to Proceed. The Work shall be Finally Completed for full acceptance by the City within 400 Calendar Days after the commencement date given in the Notice to Proceed. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond, in the amount of five percent of the Total Bid Price, payable to the City of Miramar, Florida, as a guarantee that the Bidder, upon acceptance, will promptly execute the Agreement and complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents and the Total Bid Price stated in its Bid submittal. Bids shall not be considered unless one of the previously stated forms of Bidder's security is enclosed with the Bid. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Solicitation process, to award certain areas or all of the Work to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder, as deemed in the best interest of the City.
