This Request for Proposals includes two (2) separate projects delivered concurrently under a single CMAR procurement. Each project shall be treated as a distinct scope of work with separate locations, budgets, and construction activities. Project funding will be tracked separately for each project. Initial award will be for the Washoe County Detention Center project, followed by the Jan Evans Juvenile Services Center project. Project Scope The project consists of the replacement and upgrade of the electronic security control systems serving the Washoe County Detention Center. PROJECT 1 - WASHOE COUNTY DETENTION CENTER SECURITY CONTROLS Location: Washoe County Sheriff's Office - Parr Detention Center 911 Parr Boulevard, Reno, Nevada Building Area: +- 493,000 square feet Estimated Construction Budget: $1,137,013.22 Project Scope The project consists of the replacement and upgrade of the electronic security control systems serving the Washoe County Detention Center. The work is structured in two phases: (1) Off-Site Fabrication and (2) On-Site Construction. Phase 1 - Off-Site Fabrication (Substantially Complete) Approximately Eighty percent (80) of the control system hardware has been supplied and fabricated offsite prior to issuance of this CMAR RFP. The contractor will coordinate and work with the Engineer to procure equipment/materials and finalize fabrication, factory testing, and commissioning. Owner-Furnished and Previously Completed Work The partially completed off-site fabrication, and programming shall be excluded from CMAR pricing. The CMAR pricing shall include all remaining items required to support and complete the installation, testing, and commissioning scopes of work. Phase 2 - On-Site Construction (Primary CMAR Responsibility) On-site construction includes installation and/or termination of Owner-furnished materials, including, but not limited to, control panels, cabling, raceways, fiber installation & furnish OTDR test reports, HMI/OIT equipment, servers, system integration support, testing, cutover, and commissioning. A pre-conditions site walk will occur after project award to further define installation sequencing and site-specific requirements. PROJECT 2 - JAN EVANS JUVENILE SERVICES CENTER SECURITY CONTROLS PROJECT Location: Jan Evans Juvenile Services Center 650 Ferrari-McLeod Boulevard, Reno, Nevada Building Area: +- 92,500 square feet Estimated Construction Budget: $957,346.80 Project Scope This project is separate and distinct from the Parr Detention Center project but is delivered concurrently under this CMAR solicitation. Phase 1 - Off-Site Fabrication (Substantially Complete) Approximately Forty Three percent (43) of the control system hardware has been supplied and fabricated offsite prior to issuance of this CMAR RFP. The contractor will coordinate and work with the Engineer to procure equipment/materials and finalize fabrication, factory testing, and commissioning. Owner-Furnished and Previously Completed Work The partially completed off-site fabrication, and programming shall be excluded from CMAR pricing.
