Reference Number 0000412010 The City of Lakewood (the "City") is seeking qualified individuals or entities ("Respondents") to submit proposals for the design, supply and installation of a new play structure or play structures and features at Meadowlark Park located at 8601 West 2nd Avenue, Lakewood, CO 80226. (the "Project"). Meadowlark Park is a small neighborhood park. This Project will provide and install play equipment and synthetic play turf surface in a newly constructed play pit (see Exhibit 1). The City desires either a single play structure or separate play features to serve an age range of 2-12 years old, with emphasis on the 5-12-year-old range in the large area and swings or a combination of swings and additional features in the smaller area. Proposals will be evaluated by City staff and the design finalists will be posted on the project website for public review and polling. The City intends to present the neighborhood with 2-3 preferred layouts to aid in the final selection. As such, each Contractor will be allowed to submit two (2) complete, comprehensive playground layouts for consideration. The City's project manager and a review committee will define colors for the structure(s) following selection of the preferred design. The anticipated project budget for the scope included in this RFP is anticipated to be an amount less than $363,000. Contractors will be expected to perform site construction tasks including utility locates, handling pedestrian traffic, staging, and access for the installation phase of the project. The awarded Respondent will be required to engage using the Citys construction contract included with this RFP, provide adequate insurance and comply with all local permitting, licensing and regulations for construction projects on public property.
