The principal work consists of approximately 1,050 linear feet of sanitary sewer mainline removal and replacement with 8" to 30" PVC at four project locations. Two special concrete vault structures are required for an irrigation ditch crossing. The work also includes all auxiliary items such as manholes, excavation, backfill, asphalt removal and replacement, landscape removal and replacement, bypass pumping, traffic control, and replacement of appurtenances. The work is located within the City of Wheat Ridge and City of Lakewood, Colorado. A portion of the work (under the irrigation ditch) must be completed by mid-April before irrigation ditch operations begin. Bids must be on a unit price basis and accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent of the bid. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the District's best interest. The contract may be awarded within a period not exceeding 60 days from the bid opening date.
