Renovation of a library in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
Illinois Secretary of State is requesting bids for the correction of water infiltration at the windows on the historic 3rd floor library portion of the Howlett Building, located at SUPPLIES AND/OR SERVICES REQUIRED: 1.2.2 The Contractor is responsible for all materials, equipment, supplies, labor, disposal services, incidentals, tools, and transportation to correct water infiltration 3rd floor North side Howlett Building as described herein and in attached drawings and specifications. 1.2.3 The Contractor is responsible for the Instillation of storm windows. 1.2.4 The Contractor will be responsible for repairing any damaged or deteriorated plaster, cracks, holes, bulges or gouges in wall surfaces as required to meet scope of work. 1.2.5 The Contractor is responsible to be within compliance of all applicable Building Codes. Work shall be executed in accordance with the fixed, unit price, project schedule, and applicable codes. 1.2.6 Contractor is responsible for procuring and scheduling all location services if required. 1.2.7 Contractor's work is to be performed during normal business hours: 7:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. Any work done outside of these hours shall not be permitted except as arranged in advance with the Secretary of State's Office. 1.2.8 Contractor is responsible to properly remove and dispose of all debris related to their work including, but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, sanitary, soils, rock excavation, packing materials, scrap, uninstalled materials, and debris at the end of each shift of work. Upon completion of the project, the Contractor is required to clean any impacted area to a condition equal or better than the original condition. 1.2.9 Secretary of State's Office will provide a secure location for storage of materials and equipment. Contractor is 100% responsible for securing their working materials and equipment. 1.2.10 During the course of this project, Contractor is required to implement safety measures to protect building occupants and visitors. Contractor to provide safety barricades, signs, signals, etc. as necessary. 1.2.11 Contractor shall be solely responsible for risk assessments, managing health, and safety issues associated with this project.
