COLUMBIA COUNTY solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in Civil and Structural Engineering Design for the King Grade Bridge Replacement. All work will follow the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) standards and procedures for Local Agencies, including in accordance with the WSDOT Local Agency Guideline Manual. The agreement will be for approximately twenty-four months, with the option for extensions. Columbia County is seeking a qualified consultant to provide Preliminary Engineering Design for the Replacement of the King Grade Bridge. The existing bridge is a 16.5-ft. wide x 79-ft. long two-span timber bridge supported by pile foundations of unknown depth. The proposed improvements include the complete removal and replacement of the existing bridge with a new single span, approximately 18 feet wide by 135 feet long, steel, concrete or combination bridge. Consultant services will include: • Structural design for bridges, walls, foundations and other structures • Geotechnical Engineering • Roadway and Drainage Design, including Traffic/Roadside Elements • Environmental analysis and permitting, including BA, NEPA, SEPA, Cultural Resources, etc. • Final PS&E preparation The County will provide location, topo and survey work, using their own equipment and staff. The County reserves the right to retain the successful firm(s) for additional and/or subsequent phases associated with the project. Evaluation criteria: Firm's Experience; Project Team Experience; Project Approach; Project Schedule; Past Performances/References. Submittals should include firm name, phone, and fax numbers; name of Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager; and number of employees in each firm proposed to the project. Submit THREE copies of the Statement of Qualifications to the address listed, attention to the specified individual, by the stated deadline. Submittals will not be accepted after that time and date.
