Sealed bids are requested for the OVERBROOK ROAD WATER LINE REPLACEMENT project in the Village of Johnson City, New York. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, marked with the project name and the bidder’s name and address. It is the contractor’s responsibility to meet the minimum guidelines of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (O.S.H.A.), Part 1926, Safety and Health Regulations for Construction. The Village Engineer has the authority to issue a Stop Work Order for any O.S.H.A. violations, which will stay in effect until compliance is achieved. Contract documents and specifications can be examined at the Department of Public Works Office and obtained electronically. A bid guarantee in the form of a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal is required. The Village Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to re-advertise at its discretion.
