Sealed proposals are sought for the Playground and Courtyard Improvements at Various Sites under a lease-leaseback contract. Proposals must be submitted by email and will not be accepted after the deadline. The District reserves the right to add or deduct alternate items after determining the lowest responsive and responsible lump sum proposal, which will be based on the base proposal amount. Attendance at a mandatory pre-proposal conference is required for eligibility. Prequalification is required. Public works compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations applies. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered and qualified under California Labor Code section 1725.5. The successful proposer must provide a Payment (Labor and Material) Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond, each for 100% of the Total Sublease Amount, and may substitute securities or establish escrow in lieu of retainage. Only licensed contractors with a Class "B" license at the time of award and throughout the contract and warranty periods are eligible. The contractor must comply with skilled and trained workforce requirements and pay prevailing wages as specified by the Director of Industrial Relations. The prevailing wage rates are available upon request.
