At South Central Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, the existing roof was installed on or around 2010. The contractor must remove the existing rock ballast, rubber membrane roof system, and insulation to expose the existing decking. The contractor must make any deck repairs per square foot cost that will also be submitted with the bid proposal price. The roofing contractor shall be fully knowledgeable of all requirements of the contract documents and shall make themselves aware of all job site conditions that will affect their work. Below is additional information concerning the project: 1. The project consists of removing the existing roofing system and installing a new roof on building areas A, B, C, D, E, and F. 2. On the roof, but not limited to, there are existing roof top units, makeup air units, refrigeration units, heating units, exhaust fans, vent pipes, natural gas pipes, electrical conduit, cable dishes, antennas, fresh air ducts, dry ducts, hot water heater ducts, boiler ducts, etc. 3. There are exterior light fixtures installed on the outside of the building CMU walls. 4. There are existing concrete walk pads on the existing roof. The contract must turn over the concrete walk pads to the facility. The location will bedetermined at the pre-bid meeting. 5. The building has an existing EPDM membrane rock ballast rubber membrane roof system. 6. The vendor must temporally relocate the cable dishes while replacing the roof and put back in place once completed. (If applicable to the project.)
