Site work and paving for a road / highway in Norwalk, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work consists of two contracts for approximately one mile of rural roadway. CONTRACT 1 - Road Base Reconditioning: Work includes common grading, pulverizing the existing base, placing new aggregate base, ditching, culvert work, intersection improvements, erosion control, and site restoration. CONTRACT 2 - Paving: Work includes finish grading, asphalt paving with 2.5 inches of hot-mix asphalt, and shouldering. Bidders must submit sealed bids with a bid security of 5% of the maximum bid price in the form of a certified check or bid bond. Bids must be received by the deadline and may not be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. There is a mandatory pre-bid conference at the site for all contractors. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the contract at their discretion.
