Binghamton University is seeking a qualified contractor to perform renovations to two suites in the University Union: one for Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) and one for the Center of Civic Engagement (CCE). The SSD renovation involves removing existing finishes and building interior partitions to the bottom of the second floor deck to create four offices and a conference room. New rooms will receive finishes and electrical work, with minor mechanical and fire protection work required. The CCE renovation consists of converting a conference room into two offices and a zoom room, including new partitions and finishes, as well as minor mechanical, electrical, and fire protection work. This contract covers the General Construction Work. Prospective bidders must purchase a bid set from nyplanroom.com to be considered responsible bidders, regardless of how the bidding documents were initially obtained. Only documents, notifications, addenda, and information distributed through the designated website will be considered official. Work of the General Construction Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Remaining work not identified as work under other contracts. 2. Selective demolition for G.C. scope of work. 3. Interior construction, including partitions, doors, hardware, interior glazed openings, and fittings. 4.
