The project includes all work incidental to the supply and placement of approximately 119,367 square yards of asphalt rejuvenator, to be paid for by the square yard. Proposals must be made on a form provided by the County, delivered in a sealed envelope, and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check for an amount not less than five percent of the bid amount. The successful bidder must sign and return the contract and other required certificates and documents in quadruplicate within ten days after receipt of the contract award, and file certificates showing that required insurance coverages are in place for the duration of the contract. The contractor may not begin work prior to written notice from the County Engineer and must complete all work by October 1, 2026. The County may require proof of the bidder's ability to execute the project and reserves the right to reject any and all bids or proposals submitted, or to advertise for new bids, and to defer acceptance of any proposal and execution of a contract for up to forty-five days after bid opening. Businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin.
