The City of Springfield is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide interior painting services at Central High School and Frank H Freedman Elementary School. Work includes, but is not limited to, interior painting and associated labor tasks such as scraping, patching, and sanding in selected areas. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. Interested bidders should request bid documents via the City's website and are strongly encouraged to attend the on-site visits. All questions regarding the invitation to bid or its specifications must be submitted in writing to the Office of Procurement by the specified deadline. The City supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so. e Work under the Contract consists ofinterior painting ofwalls, trim and associated materials. All work shall be performed by a Painting Contractor in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. In addition, the Work under the Contract includes: i. Work outside the Project Site as called for in the Contract Documents and as required for the performance ofthe Work. ii. The restoration of any items damaged or destroyed by encroaching upon areas outside the Project Site including but not limited to painted surfaces where barriers are adhered, doors and any other building components damaged as a result ofthis process. Providing and restoring, where appropriate, all temporary facilities The Contractor should plan on one coat bonding primer, two coats pre-cat epoxy or DTM pending surface material. DTM only ifmetal surface, Pre-Cat epoxy all other times. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring complete coverage
