South Whitehall Township is soliciting bids for Roadway Asphalt Milling. Sealed online bids will be accepted via the PennBid Program. A mandatory pre-bid meeting shall take place at 10:00 a.m. on February 17, 2026, at the South Whitehall Township Municipal Building. Paper bids will not be accepted. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the Bid opening. This project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the prevailing wage rates are incorporated in the bid documents. No less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid, and employees must not be discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. South Whitehall Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, accept either in whole or in part any one bid or combination of bids, and accept the bid which it determines in its best interests. The Township also reserves the right to waive or permit the curing of any informalities or irregularities in a bid as permitted by law.
