Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, and work necessary for the rehabilitation of seven (7) bridges along the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Also included is traffic control required to perform rehabilitation work. The scope of rehabilitation was established to address recommended repairs in the most recent bridge inspection report as well as deterioration identified during conditional site inspections. Work items include, but are not limited to: 35,825 SF Painting Existing Structural Steel 410 LB Fabricated Structural Steel 430 LB Fabricated Structural Steel Repair 1,255 SY Polyester Polymer Concrete (PPC) Overlay 5,218 SF Class AA Cement Concrete Repairs 2,337 LF Epoxy Injection Crack Seal 8,045 SF High Strength Fiber Wrap 341 LF Asphaltic Plug Expansion Joint System 10 EA Reset Expansion Bearing, Rocker 12 EA Replace Expansion Bearing, Rocker 12 EA Replace Expansion Bearing, Sliding Milepost A-52.61 is located approximately 5.25 miles South of the Lehigh Valley Interchange, Exit 56, and Milepost A-59.82 is located approximately 2.75 miles North of the Lehigh Valley Interchange, Exit 56, in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) Any questions for this project must be submitted electronically in EBS by registered business partners by noon on the Wednesday before the bid opening date.
