The work consists of the construction of 2300 linear feet of 12-inch water main and asphalt pavement placement. Other construction items include water main fittings and valves, hydrant, and traffic control. If an easement is secured in a timely manner, the base bid will be awarded; otherwise, Alternate Bid No. 1 will be awarded. Sealed bid proposals will be received until the specified deadline and must be delivered to the specified address. Bids sent by facsimile or electronic mail will not be accepted. Bids must be valid for 60 days following the receipt date, and the City reserves the right to retain and evaluate all bids during that period. The City may waive informalities and has the discretion to award the contract to any bidder or reject all bids. Each bid must include a bid security equal to five percent of the total price, which may be provided as a cashier's or certified check, a bid bond from an approved surety company, or cash. The successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds each equal to one hundred percent of the contract price. A Public Works Contractor License for the State of Idaho is required to submit a bid.
