The Contractor shall perform field verification, provide equipment/engineering submittals, perform selective demolition, furnish and install all specified mechanical equipment, replace associated controls, and provide final electrical connections. The work includes but is not limited to rooftop fan replacement, furnace and condensing unit replacement, rooftop intake and relief hood replacement, insulation repair and replacement, and appurtenances. The Contractor shall coordinate state permitting and inspections, provide factory authorized start-up, testing, and commissioning. Work covered shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, supplies and materials in performing all operations necessary for the installation of complete and operational utility systems. The scope of services will include full Construction Contracting Services for the project specified during the process of construction and warranty period to the State as per the Advertisement for Bid. Specific tasks to be performed by the Contractor include those generally performed by the construction community where the Contractor is the prime vendor to the State. Bidders shall reference the drawings, specifications, and supporting documents in the Appendices for an understanding of the entire scope of the project. The Architect/Engineer of Record for the above referenced project has prepared drawings and a project manual describing the scope of work to be performed for purposes of soliciting construction bids for the above referenced project. These documents have been issued to those parties formally requesting documents pursuant to the Invitation for Bids, or by attendance at the mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting (herein referred to as planholders). Due to the sensitive nature of the project, the Colorado Department of Corrections has required that all planholders be prohibited from reproducing the hard-copy bid document sets issued them in any form, including hard copies and electronic files. If a contract amounts to $150,000 or more, the awarded contractor shall provide payment and performance bonds not less than 50% of the value of the contract. The costs associated with this bond are to be included in the contractor's bid. The State reserves the right to reject any or all proposals on the basis of being unresponsive to this AFB or for failure to disclose requested information.
