Renovation of a detention facility in Limon, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The work includes replacement of sheet metal roofing, siding and roof-related sheet metal coping caps. The existing 24 and 26-gauge pre-finished sheet metal roofing and copings will be removed and replaced. One small shed building will also receive new shingle roofing. The project also includes replacement of the translucent skylight panels at the Living Units, with new panels in the same configuration as existing. Trades needed for the work are Built-Up Roofers (to replace damaged flashings), Sheet Metal Roofers (to replace damaged sheet metal roofing, siding, and coping caps), Asphalt Shingle Roofers (to replace damaged asphalt strip shingle roofing), and Skylight Installers (to replace the translucent skylight panels). The anticipated completion date for construction is 200 days after the Notice to Proceed. Specific tasks include full construction contracting services for the project specified during construction and the warranty period. Bids are to be submitted electronically via BidNet Direct. Bids must be on the required bid form and include the Bid Form (SBP-6.13) and Bid Bond (SBP-6.14). Late sealed bids will be rejected without consideration. All inquiries and requests for clarifications should be submitted via email as specified. Attendance and sign-in at the mandatory pre-bid conference is required. Bidders must reference the drawings, specifications, and supporting documents in the Appendices for an understanding of the full project scope. Minimum requirements include specific business and experience qualifications, bonding capability, and mandatory pre-bid meeting attendance. Reproduction or electronic scanning of bidding documents is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization.
