Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Burns Harbor, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The project consists of the construction of approximately 4,400 feet of new multi-use path. Work will include earthwork, grading, asphalt path, concrete path, storm sewer culverts, boardwalk, helical piles, abutment walls, pedestrian bridge and other necessary and appurtenant items. A section of the multi-use path will be crossing under the Norfolk Southern railroad by utilizing an existing railroad bridge over the East Arm of the Little Calumet River. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a unit price basis. Two copies of the sealed bids bearing the project name as well as the name and address of the bidder shall be submitted. A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent of the total amount of the bid will be required with each bid as security for proper execution of the contract. A 100% Labor, Material, and Performance Bond will be required of the successful bidder. Bidder shall submit Indiana State Form 96 and be certified to do work in the State of Indiana. Additional requirements are included in the Instructions to Bidders in the Project Documents. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty days after the scheduled opening without consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informality in bidding or to accept the bid, consistent with law, which best serves the interest of the Owner.
