Burns Harbor, IN 46304 (219) 787-1177 secretary@burnsharbor-in.gov Local Public Agency: The Town of Burns Harbor Redevelopment Commission Project Description: The Burns Harbor Redevelopment Commission is seeking PE Services for the Burns Harbor SS4A Regional Trails Network Gap Analysis Project. The Commission received a U.S. DOT Federal Highway Administration SS4A Grant for this project designated as supplemental planning to the Burns Harbor SS4A Action Plan adopted in June 2025. The SS4A project consists of conducting a routing analysis of a 1.75-mile regional trail gap for multimodal safety and accessibility connections between the Marquette Greenway (Navajo Trail) and the Prairie Duneland Trail (S. Babcock Rd). The study area includes federal, state and local roadways between the two trailheads that include US20 between McCool Rd & Verplank Rd; SR149 between Navajo Trail and Old Porter Rd; and, North Boo Rd, Westport Rd, Haglund Rd, Old Porter Rd, South Babcock Rd, and Verplank Rd.
