The work consists of reconstruction of an intersection, construction of a traffic signal, and construction of fiber-optic communication located at Chestnut Ave between Civic Campus Way and Commercial Ave, South San Francisco, CA. The Contractor shall be responsible to furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment, incidentals, and services necessary to complete all the work as specified and in accordance with the plans and specifications. Sealed bids on the proposal forms furnished by the City of South San Francisco must be submitted in accordance with the plans and specifications via the City's eProcurement Portal. At the time of contract award, the successful Bidder must be legally entitled to perform contracts requiring a Class A Contractor's license. Listed subcontractors shall also possess the required contractor’s license for each specialty work specified and/or possess a Class A license. The Contractor shall be properly licensed and in good standing at the time the contract is awarded. Bidders may submit pre-bid inquiries or clarification requests not less than fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the scheduled closing date for the receipt of bid proposals. Bids will be publicly opened, examined, and declared, and referred to the City Council for award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, based on the Total Base Bid Price. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and, to the extent permitted by law, waive any informality or minor irregularity in any bid. The project will be subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the California Department of Industrial Relations.
