Site work for a civil project in South San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The objective of the project is to replace the coal-tar lining of approximately 3.8 miles of CSPL2 Reach 5 from Millbrae Yard to Baden Pump Station with cement mortar lining; upgrade approximately 34 appurtenances (air valves, manholes, blow-offs); upgrade 5 service connections; and install 7 in-line/crossover valves for safe pipe entry. The work is to be performed in San Mateo County, California. There will be no LBE bid discounts for this contract. The Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirement is 14.00%. The LBE subcontracting requirement can only be met with certified San Francisco Micro and Small-LBEs and PUC-LBEs. Due to specialized pipeline relining that makes up most of the work. Prime and Joint Venture level LBE participation cannot be counted towards meeting any of the LBE subcontracting requirement(s). LBE subcontractors must be certified with in the scope of work they are being listed to perform. All Bidders shall submit documented Good Faith efforts with their Bids as directed on Form 2B, except those who exceed the above-stated subcontracting requirement(s) by at least 35%. Refer to Attachment 6. Failure to comply with Chapter 14B requirements may result in a Bid being deemed non-responsive and ineligible for Contract award. Subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited, to the following major types of work: earthwork, concrete work, pipeline work, welding, trucking, and landscaping work. Please refer to Section 01 60 00 in the Specifications regarding the purchase of equipment to achieve the LBE subcontracting participation requirement. A Class "A" California Contractors License is required to bid. Furthermore, each listed subcontractor must possess appropriate active licenses for the work each subcontractor will be performing. Pre bid meeting notes: Interested Bidders are encouraged to attend by remote means a teleconference pre-bid and contractor networking conference . Attendance of remote attendees will be completed at the end of the pre-bid meeting. SFPUC highly recommends that Bidders attend the Site inspection, which will begin at Baden Pump Station on West Orange Avenue, between El Camino Real and Fairway Drive in South San Franciscoon 2/17/26 following the pre-bid and contractor networking conference, at 12:00 PM.
