Sealed bids, in triplicate, are requested for the Forest Hills Public Schools – Operations Building Mechanical Improvements. Bids must be received by the specified time and date and should be delivered to the designated address. Late bids will not be considered or accepted. All proposals received on time will be opened and read publicly. Bids sent by fax, email, or uploaded electronically will not be accepted. Each bid must include a sworn and notarized Familial Disclosure Statement completed by the bidder, disclosing any familial relationship between the Owner or any employee of the Bidder and any member of the District’s Board of Education or the Superintendent. A construction pre-bid meeting will be held at the project site, and all bidders are encouraged to attend. Bidding documents may be examined at specified locations, including the construction manager's website and local plan rooms. Bidders must be reputable, recognized organizations with at least five years of successful experience on similar projects, possess required licenses, and have adequate financial resources. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security or bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the bid amount, which will secure the owner from loss or damage due to withdrawal or failure to enter into contract by the successful bidder. Successful bidders for contracts exceeding $50,000 will be required to secure Performance, Labor and Material bonds from a qualified surety for the full contract amount.
