Sealed bids for road repairs will be received at the Office of DPW, 45B Holliston Street, Door #9, Medway, MA 02053. This contract is for a term of two years. Specifications, scope of work, and bid forms may be obtained at the Medway DPW during specified office hours or by contacting them via email or the town website. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a bid bond, cash, or certified check issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price per year. Performance and payment bonds equal to 100 percent of the total contract price per year with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be required. Minimum wage rates as determined by the Labor and Workforce Development and weekly payroll record submittal requirements must be observed. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, accept or reject any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed in the best interest of the Town. Location and Work to be Done The Work consists of ROAD REPAIR and all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the Specifications and conceptual plans. Additional Scope of Work may be furnished by addendum from time to time during the bidding period by the Town and shall then become a part of the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, equipment, plant, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, and all other things necessary to do all work required for the completion of each item of the Work and as herein specified. All Materials supplied by Town. Such as, Asphalt, Concrete, gravel, loam, seed. The Work to be done and paid for under any item shall not be limited to the exact extent mentioned or described but shall include all incidental work necessary or customarily done for the completion of that item Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to Bobby McGee, Department of Public Works, 45B Holliston Street, Door #9, Medway, MA 02053, or Email bmcgee@townofmedway.org and to be given consideration must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
