Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Pleasantville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and 200-square-foot sidewalk / parking lot.
The project generally consists of improvements to the existing intersection at Woodland Avenue and Route 9, including the installation of crosswalks with solar-powered LED pedestrian crossing signage across Route 9 as well as the reconstruction of the existing curb ramps for ADA compliance. Approximate quantities include: approximately 360 linear feet of concrete curb, 200 square yards of sidewalk, pedestrian crosswalk signage, traffic striping, and any and all associated work. Bids must be furnished on the proposal sheets included in the Contract Documents, enclosed in a sealed envelope and addressed as specified and plainly marked on the outside with the name and address of the bidder and the Project Title. Bidders are strongly encouraged to mail in their bid package or drop it off in person by appointment. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cash of not less than ten percent of the bid, but not more than $20,000.00, as a guarantee. A bid bond in the amount of ten percent of the bid, but not more than $20,000.00, may be substituted. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certificate of Experience, Certificate of Equipment, and a certificate of Consent of Surety from a bonding company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey. The contract will be awarded contingent upon the fulfillment of these requirements by the bidder. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities and to award the contract based on available funds. Bidders are required to comply with Equal Opportunity Employment and Affirmative Action requirements, Business Registration with the New Jersey Division of Revenue, and all relevant safety and wage laws. No bidder may withdraw their bid for sixty days after the date set for opening. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond in the full contract price indemnifying the City for the faithful performance of the work. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids if it is in the best interest of the City to do so.
