Reference Number 0000412973 Pitkin County is qualifying interested parties for the provision of a Construction Manager / General Contractor at the Pitkin County Solid Waste Center located at 32046 Jack Gredig Lane, Aspen, CO 81611. This RFP is a direct result of the Pitkin County Solid Waste Center's plan to extend the life of the Solid Waste Center for the next 70 years. The first piece of that plan is to relocate infrastructure on the site to allow for the construction of a new landfill cell in 2027 / 2028. In 2024, the Pitkin County voters approved a ballot measure to allow the Solid Waste Center to issue bonds to construct the new infrastructure which led to the beginning of campus design. The design team of Weaver Consultants and HDR have worked to develop a cohesive campus that meets the current and future needs of the Solid Waste Center. The solicitation of a Construction Manager / General Contractor is desired to provide constructability input during the final aspects of design, create high level value engineering options, and continue the counties' collaborative approach to this project.
