The work will consist of roadway construction along multiple paved roads and includes traffic control, erosion control measures, construction of approximately 2,369 tons of 9.5 mm RAC Superpave topping, approximately 12,426 square yards of variable depth milling, bike lane thermo striping, typical striping, and all other necessary appurtenances for a complete job. All work must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days from the date of notice to proceed. The work under this Contract will be located in the City of Americus, Georgia as shown on the Drawings. Bids must be submitted on Bid Proposal Forms provided for that purpose, in accordance with the Contract Documents and Plans and Specifications, which may be reviewed by appointment only at the office of Hofstadter and Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers. Copies of the Bid Forms, Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents may be obtained upon deposit of $200.00 per set in PDF format, with no refunds for returned documents. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed before the specified time and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond payable to the City of Americus for 10 percent of the bid amount, to be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to enter into a contract and provide required Payment Bond, Performance Bond, and Insurance Certificates. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The City of Americus reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals.
