The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the South Georgia Tech Parkway Pedestrian Crosswalk Improvements as shown on the construction drawings. Construction generally includes installation of a pedestrian crosswalk with raised refuge island, rectangular rapid beacon assembly, handicap ramps, integral concrete median, thermoplastic pavement marking, signage, and all associated measures for a complete project. Time allotted for completion of work is 90 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion, and work shall be complete and ready for contract close-out within 120 consecutive calendar days. All work must be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The project will be awarded in one contract. Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation Contractor or a registered Georgia Department of Transportation SubContractor. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is clearly shown. Sealed envelopes must be clearly marked with the project title and RFP number and can be delivered in-person, by mail, or by private courier. Bids received after the designated time will not be considered and will be rejected. All questions about the meaning or intent ofthe Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening ofBids may not be answered.
