Sealed proposals are requested for the replacement of Runway 1-19 REILs at the Ashland County Airport. The proposed project consists of the following work: Replace Runway 1-19 REILs, including REIL fixture and foundation removal, electrical cable installed in conduit, new LED REIL fixture and foundation installation, electrical vault work, counterpoise wiring, seeding, mulching, and other associated items of work. All proposals must be submitted on the forms contained in the Contract Documents, which can be obtained from Stantec Consulting Services Inc. Bidders must be listed on the bid register to submit a bid. Bids should be accompanied by either a combined "Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond" for 100% of the bid or by a certified or cashier's check for 10% of the bid amount. If a check is submitted, a separate contract bond for 100% of the contract amount will be required from the successful bidder. Work is subject to federal requirements specified in the Special Provisions, including civil rights, domestic procurement preferences, labor standards, and safety regulations. The successful bidder will be the lowest and best bid complying with all requirements. The Ashland County Airport Authority reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all proposals. No award will be made if the bid exceeds the engineer's estimate by over 10 percent.
