As of May 1, 2026 the project has been awarded, Sealed bids are being accepted for slip forming curb and gutter on 8th Street. Bid specifications are available at City Hall. Sealed bids must be clearly labeled: "2026 8th Street Curb & Gutter." The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the City, considering price, compliance, warranty, service support, and overall value. Scope of Work : Installation of approximately 2,800 linear feet of standard 30-inch back curb and gutter . 1) Concrete Provide a Grade A concrete in accordance with Section 716 of the WisDOT Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction 2025 Edition . 1. Provide the following mix design . a. Seven -day compressive strength of 2800 psi b. 28 -day compressive strength of 4000 psi . c . .42 water / cement ratio or less d . Air entrained to 6 % +- 1.5 % e . Less than two - inch slump The contractor may use a machine to place, form , and consolidate curb , gutter , or curb & gutter . The resulting curb , gutter or curb & gutter must equal or exceed that produced by forming 2) Curing Compound Furnish liquid curing compound conforming to ASTM C309 , type 2 , class A from the WisDOT APL . 3) Line and Grade The Owner will provide location , grade stakes and offsets for curb and gutter . The Contractor shall furnish any other line and grade he may desire or require completing the construction .
