Work Covered by Contract Documents 1. Location: City of Edgerton, Wisconsin just off Gear Drive 2. The Work includes: Work shall consist of furnishing all plant, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, and manufactured articles for the Project. It shall also include the furnishing of all transportation and services, including fuel, power, water, and essential communications, and for performance of all labor, work, or other operations required for fulfillment of Contract in strict accordance with Contract Documents. The work will include restoration and painting of a 300,000-gallon elevated water storage tank. The scope involves pressure washing the tank exterior, overcoating and painting the tank exterior, abrasive blasting the tank interior, epoxy painting the tank interior, and miscellaneous repairs or replacements including vents, entrance hatch, roof hatch, and roof warning light system. Project shall consist of: - pressure wash tank exterior - overcoat paint tank exterior with spot prime coat, intermediate coat and finish coat - abrasive blast tank interior - epoxy paint tank interior - replace seal on entrance hatch - replace seal on roof vent - replace seal on roof hatch - convert red warning lights to LED - replace insulation on interior standpipes - verify existing cathodic protection quality and replace if necessary Proposals must be submitted on the furnished forms and accompanied by a bid bond of a bonding company authorized to do business in Wisconsin, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal. Proposals cannot be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. All bids must comply with the Federal Davis-Bacon Act wage rates and other federal labor standards. Bidders are required to contact and solicit bids from at least five MBEs (Minority Business Enterprises) and five WBEs (Women's Business Enterprises) at least 15 days before bid opening, documenting these contacts with the required forms submitted with the bid. The project is also subject to American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements, which require all iron and steel used to be produced in the United States, subject to specific waivers. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive informalities.
