Renovation of a power facility in Vincennes, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
Sealed bids in duplicate are requested for Steam Plant Renovation - Phase 2 at Vincennes University, Vincennes, Indiana. The bidding method is Contract #1: Unified Bid. Bids must be executed using the provided bid forms, Certification of Non-Segregated Facilities, Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96 (revised 2013), and a completed AIA Form G705, indicating 'none' if there are no sub-contractors. Bids must be accompanied by a satisfactory bid bond for not less than 5% of the total bid price. All addenda must be acknowledged on the bid form. Performance of the work shall comply with plans and specifications available at specified locations. The successful contractor must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each equal to at least 110% of the contract price. Plans and specifications can be obtained from the designated provider, with deposits and return conditions specified for prime contract bidders. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or waive informalities or errors in bidding. Withdrawal of bids without consent within 90 days of opening may result in forfeiture of the bid deposit as liquidated damages. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. The removal & replacement of existing steam boilers, steam & condensate piping, makeup water & natural gas piping, and electricals, as shown & described in construction drawings. 2. Owner has contracted with Cici Boiler Rooms, Inc., (Chris Dasher, 800-848-8197 O) to provide the (2) 750-hp steam boilers, (1) new economizer for Boiler #2, (3) blowdown separators, & (1) new blowdown recovery unit. All equipment is expected to be delivered to the Steam Plant by approximately Friday, June 26, 2026. Contractor shall be responsible to coordinate delivery with vendor, as well as inspection, offloading, & storage. In addition, all equipment warranties shall be transferred from vendor to Contractor upon receipt of equipment. 3. Exterior Building finishes and repairs, interior paint and resinous flooring and other minor misc. interior renovations. Question Deadline 03/12/2026 Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to Project Architect and to be given consideration must be received at least five days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. All addenda so issued shall become a part of the contract documents.
