Reference Number 0000413452 Question Acceptance Orion Township Parks and Recreation is seeking a cost to supply and install a 500 kW Kohler Natural Gas Generator with a 480 Volt, 3-phase system to ensure a fully operational backup power solution for the Orion Recreation Center (3800 S. Baldwin Rd. Lake Orion, MI 48359) Specifications 1. Generator and Transfer Switch Installation: a. Generator Location: The generator will be installed on the south side of the building, west of the current transfer. b. Transfer Switch: A 1600-amp automatic transfer switch will need to be installed, mounted outside the electrical powerhouse room. c. Concrete Pads: Both the generator and transfer switch will be placed on poured concrete pads, adhering to all specifications. Installation of concrete pads must be included in the proposal. Installation of concrete pads and the transfer switch can begin when weather permits. 2. Underground Electrical Work: a. Electrical work will involve trenching and/ or boring from the transformer to the transfer switch and from the generator to the transfer switch, all conducted safely with coordination with Miss Dig and local utilities to code. 3. Gas Line Installation: a. The gas line will be installed underground, requiring coordination with state code and Miss Dig to ensure safety and compliance. 4. Crane Services: a. A 50,000 LB crane will need to be utilized for the placement of the generator, which much be included in the proposal. 5. Permits and Engineering: a. All necessary permits will be required for this project. The bidder must handle the application and procurement of these permits, as well as any engineered drawings required. b. Permit cost must be included in the bidder's proposal. 6. Timeline: a. Bidders must clearly define the timeline and schedule for the project once approved. b.
