Renovation of a day care center in Sanborn, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 7,010-square-foot, one-story above grade day care center.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check or certified share draft in a separate sealed envelope, clearly marked “Bid Bond” or Bid Security”, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The certified or cashier's check shall be drawn on a bank in Iowa or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America or the certified share draft shall be drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States and payable to Kids Express Daycare. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond along with a Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, issued by a responsible Surety approved by the Daycare Board and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and terms/conditions therein and the maintenance of said improvements pursuant to the provisions of the Contract Documents. All affected sub-contractors shall have arranged for such bond with its surety based upon its bid provided to the Prime Contractor to become part of its bid, on bid day. The work under the Contract is anticipated to commence no later than August 31, 2026, and shall be substantially completed by May 1, 2027. The Daycare Board reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, re-advertise for new bids and towaive informalities that may be in the best interest of Kids Express Daycare.
