The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following 1. Project consists of work as shown and specified but not limited to the removal and replacement of existing galvanized domestic cold, hot, and hot water recirculation piping, replacement of selected water heaters, replacement of tempering valve with new tempering valve, associated electrical, demolition of existing piping, materials, not reused, insulation removal and replacement, etc. as shown. 2. Wall/ceiling removal and replacement including patching, and painting (paint provide by owner), shall be done by the contractor and included in their bid. 3. The contractor shall coordinate all work with Ada County. Scheduling of work shall be done in concert with County personnel and user. No work shall be done without approval of schedule by Owner. 4. All work shall be in compliance with current adopted IBC, IMC, ISPC, IEC and NEC, as well as all State and County requirements. 5. Once equipment is onsite, Contractor shall coordinate and schedule work with County. Demolish existing components and install system with existing to remain operational as much as possible. Install new tempering station, electrical and controls, etc., as shown. Coordinate with existing conditions and Owner. 6. Schedule minimal shutdown of existing systems for water with Owner a minimum of 1 week prior to shutdown and perform shutdowns at night to minimize effect on facility. B. Type of Contract 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. The Work to be included in the Construction Contract is generally described as providing all labor and materials necessary for the removal and replacement of water lines and a water heater at the Ada County Juvenile Services facility, which will include removal of existing galvanized piping, replacement with new copper piping, and installation of a new water heater and mixing valve, all as more specifically detailed in the Project Manual specifications and drawings (the "Project"). The contractor will be responsible for all necessary access (wall/ceiling cuts) and subsequent repairs to return the facility to its original condition.
