As of April 08, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. The project involves approximately 235 square feet of sidewalk removal and approximately 900 square feet of sidewalk installation along Wagner Road between Willow Road and the Northfield Community Church Entrance. The project also includes drainage and storm sewer improvements as well as pavement patching. State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, Contractor Pre-Qualification and Subcontractor Registration is required. A Special Provision for time of completion is included with the contract. All bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of cash, certified check or bid bond made payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract properly secured. The successful bidder for the project is required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount, with sureties to be approved by the Owner, and in the form required by the Bidding documents. The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work under this Contract as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor, and shall submit certified payroll records, in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and the requirements of the Bidding Documents. If any Bidder is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the plans, specifications or other Contract Documents, he shall request an interpretation from the Project Engineer prior to bidding. The Project Engineer shall give a written interpretation of the matter in question by issuing an "Addendum" and sending same to each person receiving a set of Contract Documents. Only a written interpretation shall be binding and no Bidder shall rely upon any oral interpretation or correction given by any other method. The Village of Northfield reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof.
