Sealed bids are invited for the furnishing of materials, services, equipment, work, and/or supplies for the 2026 Local Gravel Projects for the Road Commission of St. Joseph County. Bids must be delivered in person or mailed in a sealed envelope, marked clearly with the vendor's name, address, and the Invitation to Bid. Express mail packages must also be conspicuously marked as containing bid documents. Facsimile and email bids will not be accepted. Bidders are responsible for ensuring timely delivery within business hours (7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays). Late bids will not be accepted. Bids may not be withdrawn, changed, or modified for sixty (60) days from the bid opening date. Prices quoted must include total cost delivered to the location(s); unauthorized shipments or C.O.D. shipments will be rejected. All bids must be submitted on the Road Commission's provided form, prepared legibly in ink or typewriter, and any erasures or alterations must be initialed by the bidder. Submission of a bid signifies understanding and agreement with all terms, conditions, and specifications. Alternate proposals may be accepted, and the award can be made in whole or in part in the best interest of the Road Commission. The Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and terminate contracts with thirty (30) days notice without penalty for poor performance or other reasons. All applicable Federal and State laws apply. No fuel surcharges will be paid, and all correspondence becomes Commission property and subject to the Freedom of Information Act. Contractors must obtain all necessary licenses and permits. Material safety data sheets must be provided when applicable. Vendors submitting alternate bids must include detailed specifications demonstrating equivalency or superiority to the specified item; alternates without documentation will be rejected. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
