The City of Vallejo is soliciting Bids for As-Needed Firebreak Services. This RFP may be a single award or multiple awards based on evaluation team recommendations. The contract will not guarantee set amounts to be purchased and is subject to funding approval by the City Council. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, and facilities required for firebreak services as needed by the City’s Water Department. The Contractor will provide firebreak services anywhere on the 8,000 acres of land managed by the City’s Water Department including, but shall not limited to, the areas around Lake Frey, Lake Madigan, Lake Curry, Skyview Tank, and the Cordelia Reservoir. Please see Exhibit 1 for images of some of the known areas needing service. Scope of work may include, but shall not be limited to: • Fire disking • Vegetation management • Unpaved road and trail maintenance • Excavation • Clearing weirs and weir pools • Clearing vegetation from lake shore edges • Re-grading outfalls
