The City of La Cañada Flintridge is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to provide GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) services for various GIS-related applications. As a contract city, services from an outside Consultant are needed to provide all GIS related integration throughout the year. The City currently utilizes a 2022 server which only functions for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Enterprise. Approximately 20 City employees actively use ArcGIS. Most employees are not creating maps or altering data; they generally just view the data. The selected Consultant will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and expanding the City's GIS platform, supporting spatial analysis, and facilitating interdepartmental data integration. The City’s GIS consultant shall provide services including, but not limited to: • GIS database maintenance and updates • Update and maintenance of the City’s ArcGIS Software • Creation and management of GIS layers and spatial datasets • GIS application support and troubleshooting • Spatial analysis and custom mapping • Support for the Community Development Department’s Land Use App and other planning related applications • Support for the Public Works Department’s Capital Improvement Project application and other public works related applications • Provide emergency support when necessary, including the restoration of services and coordinating with City staff and the City’s IT consultant • Integration of GIS data with third-party systems as needed, for example Data Tree, Energov, etc. • Compliance with metadata and data standards (FGDC, etc.) • The ability to give cost estimates and timelines for as-needed special projects, outside of the scope of work, as requested by the City See bid document for full details.
